Hosting my first workshop at my Open House in July was an eye opener! I’ve participated in many shoebox swaps over the years where you make one card and about twenty kits of that one card, often including step by step instructions, to swap with other crafters at a particular event, but I have to say that running a workshop is a little different! We made two cards and a little box. I forgot to set out all of the tools I needed and didn’t anticipate the chatter and other distractions, and I was getting sidetracked a bit, but I think, overall , it went pretty good! Everyone said they had fun and that is what’s most important.
This was one card from my first workshop. I really enjoy CAS ( clean and simple) cards now and then and love the fun colors of this one. It was made with all Stampin’Up! products including the new Polka Dot Pieces stamp set from the 2014-2015 catalog(pg.139) stamped in Coral Calipso and Pear Pizzazz. The washi tape, from the Sweet Sadie set (pg. 190) made for an easy background embellishment as did the Very Vintage Design button (pg. 208) and Linen Thread (pg. 206).
