Every December I tell myself, as I’m stressing over how many cards I have left to make, that I will get ahead the next summer and make some Christmas cards. This year, I finally followed through and completed two dozen cards and two dozen tags! More cards are planned and will be completed as soon as my Holiday Catalog presale order is delivered later this week…hurray!
The May Paper Pumpkin kit (item # 141570) from Stampin’ Up contained cards with pretty laser cut fronts. I glued Christmas Specialty dsp ( item # 141628) behind those laser cutouts and then stamped the fronts using the new Peace This Christmas stamp set from the annual catalog (pg 27 item #141570 for the clear stamps). The dies and Merry Christmas sentiment are retired Stampin’ Up. Ink colors used are Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green. I think they turned out real pretty. The Paper Pumpkin kit pictured on the right (item # 141574) is $8 and comes with other pieces I plan to use on fall cards,, birthday and Christmas…there will be no waste! Eight cards plus eight envelopes. Love this set!
Do you make Christmas cards in the summer? I have friends who say that it’s too hard to get in the mood when the weather is so nice.
Thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my latest projects. Martha
