Hand-Made Christmas

Each year I try to make something handmade for the kids or the home for Christmas. This year I decided that we needed new Stockings…something fun. They are lined and plenty big for Santa to get his hand in while filling. It was fun choosing fabrics that matched with each individual person’s interests and likes. I didn’t have a pattern for the cuff so I measured across and added a little extra for the seam allowance. I’d suggest a half inch more if you make these,  it was a tight fit.

This next photo is of an ornament that my son made me on his 3-d printer. This is his field of study at Washington State, hence the Coug stocking. This sphere came out real smooth, it’s a cleaver process how these printers turn a plastic cord into something completely different.

Glad Tidings to You!

I’m back tracking a bit today catching up from the past couple of weeks.  We had a wonderful Christmas with all four kids home. We are blessed that they can all be here for the holiday.

I thought I would share photos of some of the Chrismas cards I made for coworkers. I used a few digi stamps that I’ve had for a while. The Penquins are a Penny Black stamp. For the snow I used clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmery cold…brr!

Coloring these images was really fun! It also can be a form of therapy to counteract the holiday chaos.
