This past weekend our youngest daughter was home for her friend’s bridal shower. As I waited for her to finish her gift purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond I perused the greeting card rack. I guess I’ve had my head in the sand a while…I was pretty surprised at the prices. Cards ranged from $3 for just a card base printed with a greeting and image to $8.95 for a fancy card loaded with layers and bling.
We decided to make one…using colors and images that matched the bride-to-be’s tastes. I like the softness of this and the font is pretty.
We used all Stampin’ Up products. The retired stamp set Best Thoughts is one of my all-time favorites. Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla card stock provided the base paired with the new very vanilla ribbon and Falling in Love dsp. The flower was stamped in Sahara Sand and embossed in white. Jen then colored it using a blender pen with Blushing Bride and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. We then added Wink of Stella , clear , to add a bit more diamond flare. The font was stamped in Early Espresso. The squares are the new Stitched Framelits.
It was fun stamping with Jen and rewarding to be able to make this for someone’s special day.
Thank you for stopping by today!
